Several friends have started business that I think just rock! Here are a few of my favorites -

BrainySnacksTM are created by Foodacity, a company focused on a healthy lifestyle and making “every bite count, to empower you to run longer, think smarter, and feel better.” Foodacity applies strict Nutrition Rules (that it details on it’s site) to sift through modern packaged foods and create these gift bags full of all-natural, smart foods that contain nutritious ingredients like lean protein and wholesome carbs, and no harmful ingredients like high-fructose corn syrup and hydrogenated oils. I have seen a few samples and the collection is not only healthy but very unique. I have not seen similar packages offered anywhere. Great gift idea for the holidays - give the gift of health!

- BettyJane’s Peanut Brittle - I don’t normally endorse anything as THE BEST but I found some amazing peanut brittle that I had to tell you about. The company, local here in Virginia, just launched a year ago and I am sitting here with a bag of their peanut brittle that is nothing short of amazing. It has a honeycomb like texture, is just sweet enough with lots of peanuts. It is NOT sticky and gummy. They are sold in a few places locally but people can mail order them.
