I am so pleased to announce that Virginia-based company, PostMarkChef, is now featuring my work! It is a really fun concept: you sign up and purchase a kit to make a meal and they send you a kit with all the spices, ingredients everything pre-measured. All you do is add the fresh stuff and pull together a fun meal. They are featuring many wonderful chefs like Michel Richard and fantastic writers like Domenica Marchetti. i am honored to be included.

My kit with them helps you throw a wonderful Indian-themed party! You will make several great dishes and have, of course, wonderful drinks that you can make as well.

Included in the kit featuring my work are ingredients for:

(Below is information from the PostMarkChef website)

Hors d’oeuvre: Pomegranate Shrimp

Ready in a few minutes, with a modern twist on Indian flavors, this appetizer is sweet, sour, and savory all at once. This dish is prepared using heart-healthy and flavorful coconut oil and a marinate of pomegranate molasses, coriander and cayenne among other spices.

Hors d’oeuvre: Garam Masala Chicken

Made with the quintessential Indian aromatic and warming spices of cardamom, cinnamon, cumin as well as cayenne and turmeric, this comforting dish is finished with the rich flavors of coconut milk. This easy-to-prepare dish also uses heart-healthy coconut oil.

Hors d’oeuvre: Spice, Crackle, And Pop

Using exotic Indian spices such as asafetida, black mustard seeds, dried mango powder and fennel seeds, this snack is easy to find on the streets on Bombay. Also containing familiar accents like cashew nuts, peanuts and golden raisins, it is sweet, salty, tangy and crunchy and pairs well with cocktails.

Cocktail: Chai Rocks

A clever spin on the popular ‘Chai tea’, this aromatic, sweet & creamy vodka cocktail contains a unique chai syrup and is the taste of India in a glass.

Cocktail: Pomegranate Delight

A gorgeous ruby red in color and perfectly pairing with the pomegranate shrimp, this tangy and sour rum cocktail is a show stopper!

Monica, my husband would love it if I could cook Indian, so count me in the drawing. I also shared this on Facebook and hope others will, too. Great idea. And, congratulations on this newest, exciting venture!

oooh, me, please! I’m still intimidated by the idea of cooking Indian food at home, and getting all the right spices, so this is exactly what I need to get started. I even already have your book!!

Monica, you are ever ingenious….terrific idea! I’m crossing my fingers. And planning, finally, to learn how to cook Indian dishes. Yum.

This is such a wonderful idea! I have a lot of friends who would like to learn how to cook some ethnic dishes, but lack the ingredients. I would love for my daughter to have one of your kits, as she is quite a fan if Indian cuisine.

An amzing idea! Beats the ready cooked, heat-and-serve food packages. My son loves to cook and eat gourmet food. He’s doing his residency, and so doesn’t have much time to cook. Kits could make it easier and faster for him to get delicious food with a home-cooked touch.

to other locations as well

Kits are getting a lot of traction now. I’ve seen kits to make soup, to make cookies and pies…
This “Indian” kit is even more interesting as I always felt uneasy using Indian spices correctly.
