SEASONS RESTAURANT HOSTS SPECIAL BRUNCH EVENT WITH INDIAN COOKBOOK AUTHOR MONICA BHIDE

What: Seasons restaurant is pleased to partner with Indian cookbook author, Monica Bhide, for a special event at their new Indian-themed fall brunch.

Priced at $80 per person, not including tax and gratuity, the elegant restaurant’s special Sunday brunch will include a cookbook signing by Bhide of her latest book, Modern Spice. Bhide will also be on hand to answer questions about Indian spices and the easy inclusion of Indian accents to any meal.

In addition to Indian-inspired fare such as Fennel-spiced baby back ribs, Black chickpea pakoras and Cumin broth braised short ribs and curried crepes, brunch will also feature special cocktails and dishes from Modern Spice.

When: Sunday, October 9, 2011 from 11:00 AM – 1: 00 PM

Where: Seasons is located at 2800 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Washington, DC in Four Seasons Hotel, Georgetown.

This event would be worth the drive up from North Carolina, but the date wouldn’t work for me. I will have to imagine how delicious cumin broth braised shortribs and curried crepes, just for one feature, could be. I know it will be fantastic, as is this photograph. Prediction? Sell-out event.

I hope you’ll do it in NYC some day. Indian spices are very trendy right now since that August scientific article confirming that spices help combat fat. Tell the audience about it! :)
