I had such a fun conversation with the New Yorker's Adam Gopnik and guest host Rebecca Roberts on why we all love and love to collect cookbooks!

I heard the show yesterday, and then last night I found Adam’s essay in the New Yorker (the food issue–always the best one of the year!). What a great topic…

I love my shelves of cookbooks and read them for fun–it’s about so much more than actually cooking the recipes. And I’m slowly plowing my way, page by page, through Harold McGee’s On Food and Cooking–it’s the perfect bedtime reading. Full of great information, yet not too stimulating!
